I currently work for the Cameron Carnival as a domesticated clown. I’m the head clown in this family’s circus act. Usually, I’m juggling upside down or falling on my head.On my down times I can be seen with my nose stuck in a good book, spilling coffee down my shirt, and aimlessly wandering about wondering where did I put my glasses.

You can always drop me a line at

      1. LOL! You are not dumb! Don’t ever say that – it’s a long story – I started tweeting as victorias_view, I then discovered BlogHer, it’s then I started blogging, and after a while I came out with my real name πŸ™‚ I just liked the sound of Victoria and now it’s too much work to change it;)

  2. Hey! thanks for visiting my blog all of those months ago. yours is deliciously charming. πŸ™‚ I love reading blogs by moms. They often have the most interesting things to say. Cheers!

  3. Domesticated Clowns are rarely creepy – it is only when they consort with other clowns like Pennywise then it is a whole different story. Thank you for the follow! I look forward to seeing more of you πŸ™‚

  4. You certainly seem to be riding the wave my dear, good job, 181 likes and over 500 comments, that is busy work and appreciation in action. Most people do not get that kind of acceptance or response in a 12 year period.

Thanks for stoppin by my watering hole today and checking out Missing Boomer, tomorrow will be the bus stop and a little mind bender.

Oh, by the way …. I am a tree hugger if this counts?

  5. Hi, can you add your name to this?
Basically, write you name onto a blank piece of paper, hold it front of your body, and take a photo of it (body shot only to preserve anonymity), send it to me and I’ll post your name up.

I’m trying to amass different names; and it’ll be amazing to see the different names that people have! I hope you take part in this, it’ll be fun! If you want to see what I’m talking about, the link will show you

  6. I like the concept of a domestic clown–the other sort have always left me wanting, but domesticity lends itself to so many balancing acts, comic bits, and so forth. From what I’ve seen of your work, you are mastering a whole bunch of those arts very neatly! Cheers!

      1. That’s really nice of you but I wrote it a long time ago and (like usual) I had no idea what I was doing! So it’s not such a great story. I’m sure yours are much better.

Thank you for the delight your site has brought to my day!

      1. That’ s not the point anyway, the joy is watching someone who is very happy – even better if I’m part of the cause! πŸ˜€

  9. As there has been some confusion, I’d like my nominees to know, that the Versatile Blogger Award is given to you, if you declare to accept it by making a post on your blog!

  10. Just read your amazing avalanche story – I must say that is something I never have and never hope to experience.

Thanks for stopping by and following my blog. Nothing as exciting as avalanches there, but I hope you enjoy it.

    1. Thank you, it was a very next experience. We were far enough away that we did not have to worry about anything. The place was quite spectacular and I hope to visit again in the summer.

    1. Hi Gretta,

Thank you for taking the time to nominate me for the versatile blogger award! I do not normally participate in these memes but feel truly honored that you thought of me.

      Best Wishes,

  12. Belle,

I enjoyed reading your essays today and look forward to new posts. I have to say I find you intriguing. Your essays contain so much heartfelt musing, a generous amount of pain, intellectual curiosity, really just an earnestness. All that was plenty to pique my interest, then I learned you are a clown. Your writing seems so different from your day job, but I suppose that’s what makes you and your writing so interesting. Thanks for letting us peek into your world.

  13. How intriguing my friend πŸ™‚
