Life’s Perspective

Ethan Johnson shares “Life’s Perspective” on poetry Friday.

Life's perspective

I am Ethan Johnson, though known through most of my poems and works as Dulrivo. I am a native Georgian, not the nation mind you, the state; and have enjoyed living in such rural landscapes viewing the courses of nature as they flow un-stymied, traversing the senses. Throughout my years in high school and brought to furtherance through college I always enjoyed literature, history, and the learning experience that shapes our minds and molds our keen perceptions and social interaction. So a long time ago (mostly in mind and not years counted), moved by the experiences of life and with the kindled need to depict its beauteous face I began to write poetry. The words strung together are merely the bridge to the image I see and try to portray to all willing to cast a roving glance and smile. And if I can bring just one image to life and watch it dance and warm the heart of another every line from every hour was worth the cause. For it matters little how many persons you touch in this life, but greater still by how you touched those few…and that my friends, makes all the difference.

  1. love the flow of this. deep thoughts but presented so artfully and beautifully that your mind just absorbs it all in and takes it to heart. I found myself nodding as I read the words.
