The Birthday Curmudgeon

Once upon a time there was a blogger who loved birthdays, presents, and celebrations then somewhere in her thirties. She became a Curmudgeon! That’s right a birthday curmudgeon!

I blame it on turning thirty and then my body had the nerve to keep getting older. I know there is so much beauty in getting older.

Blah. Blah. Blah. Blah. BLAH!

Tomorrow is my Birthday and I refuse to be a Curmudgeon this year!

SO I have made a LIST of all the things I am GRATEFUL for and learned this far into ‘my mid-thirties not quite forty’ life.

Almost Forty Life Lessons

So tomorrow I will be playing Billy Joel from his glory days and stuffing my face with non-fat gluten-free chocolate beet cake with a side of soy sorbet! It is time to celebrate! Bring on ‘Almost Forty!’

  1. Happy belated birthday! We are all about dance breaks, too. Especially to the theme songs from NPR shows. Ha! We were bummed when they stopped the theme to “Fresh Air.” Anyway, hope your birthday and birthday week have been wonderful! Dance dance dance!
