A Valentine’s Day Wish

As I watch my children write their valentines  one by one for their classmates – it makes me wish I could give a valentine to each of you and attached to it would be one heart – shaped chocolate.

It would be my thanks to you for brightening my day with your visits, comments, and tolerating my humor.   It is your comments that add a twinkle to my eye and  create a very fond smile.

So this Valentines Day I would like to say thank you for brightening my day!

My biggest wish for  all of you on this Valentine’s is the gift of time for yourself!  As I read many of your posts some seem that you are on an endless journey tied to the schedule of others and running circles to get things done.

It is my wish that you take a small break for yourself perhaps a bubble bath with the sounds of Leonard Cohen in the background, enjoying the solitude of your morning walk, or just a quiet moment with your cup of coffee.

The greatest gift we can give ourselves is a small moment of time in order rejuvenate and feel more refreshed for the ones we love in our lives.

So I hope you take the time to find a little love for yourself on this Valentine’s Day because you deserve it for all that you do!

Happy Valentine’s Day to all the beautiful bloggers that brighten my world! I wish you nothing but sweet, sweet, sweet love!

What will be your special moment this Valentine’s Day?

  1. Awww, you are sweet Belle! You just made my Valentine’s Day with your sweet wish for a little time for ourselves 🙂
Happy and blessed Saint Valentine’s day to you and your loved ones!

  2. I like your post, but do you know why I can’t use the like-button anymore? It says log in, tried it no chance. Is it me or does wordpress sabotage me? Strange + totally sucks! Nevertheless Happy Valentine’s Day to you dear. 🙂

  3. You are the sweetest…..You are so right.. we all need that moment of time… So hard to find, but so wonderful when we get it… I hope you and your men have a wonderful V-day and that you follow your own advice and get some time for yourself… Big hugs!

    1. Thank you, Paprika! Your posts always make me chuckle! It’s also nice to know I am not the only one who has debates over the toilet paper roll 😉 I wish you and Oregano a beautiful Valentine’s Day!

  4. Thank you so much for a positive post about Valentine’s Day. I have seen so much anti-Valentine’s Day stuff lately, that it’s just sad. I understand people’s reasons behind it, but it just seems to be everywhere this year. So, thank you for the kind wishes (I love chocolates!) and nice thoughts for your readers!

My special moment on Valentine’s Day will simply be another day spent with my husband. Every day is special for us, and this is just another one that gives us a nice excuse to spoil each other a little more than we already do!

    1. Thank you! I’m not big on the commercialization of Valentine’s Day but I do love the extra gift of making time for our loved ones and ourselves. I think it is the perfect day to something a little special that is out of the ordinary whether indulge in a box of chocolates, dines at your favorite restaurant, or just hugs the one you love that are closest to you 🙂

I wish you and your husband a lovely day full of magical moments!

  5. Same to you Belle!
As for me: spinning with Luis , porn mouth, and stripper pole . . .
Okay – spinning with Luis, bagel, cream cheese, and cafe Americano at our (not Luis – Tony) favorite Italian coffee house, blog reading, dog walking, grocery store, lite dinner at home (Weight Watchers on Wednesday), cuddling with Tony on the couch watching Glee, New Girl, tail end of Biggest Loser, Parenthood, news, Letterman, Craig Ferguson, and worry about Ralphie until I fall asleep in Tony’s arms. Just another Tuesday for us and I wouldn’t change a thing.

    1. Oh! La! La! La! I like your spirit! It’s smoking hot 😉

hahaha! A bagel cream cheese sounds delicious! I discovered Nutella french toast and will be making for the kids in the morning. That’s about as wild as I get! Your day sounds absolutely perfect! Enjoy!

  6. I would love to have a quiet moment with my cup of coffee. Unfortunately, my cup of coffee this Valentine’s Day might very well be in a toilet bowl mug that makes a flushing sound, so there is nothing relaxing about that, ha ha! 😉

  7. You are just the sweetest and I wish you all the same in return. I still have to write those Valentine cards with my kiddos and we are attaching a heart-shaped lollipop to each!!! 🙂

  8. Celebrating Valentine’s Day with people who are in love is my special moment. Today in the office we saw a package delivered at our coworker’s station. We waited in excitement for her arrival and when she finally arrived, we crowded around her, badgered her to open the package and read the note for us. She did, teary-eyed, and I captured that moment with my video camera. It felt very nice seeing her happy and all that.

I wish I was there to witness your special moment, Belle. Happy Hearts Day. 😀

    1. It sounds like a very special moment for your co-worker and what was inside must have been beautiful. I think it is wonderful to see people appreciated, happy, and in love. I wish you the best this Valentine’s Day! And full of many surprises 🙂

  9. Happy Valentine’s Day to you. Enjoy your family, your time, and all the little pleasures this day can bring you. Now my wife hasn’t yet seen the special Valentine’s video I posted on my blog… Nor did Ryan Gosling for that matter.

    Later, Belle.
