  1. nice beach!!! πŸ™‚ – waterfront is a nice place to be on the run.

curious to know where the picture is taken πŸ™‚
i tend to compare our maldivian beaches with the rest of the beaches πŸ˜‰

  2. Run – no can do because it tears up my knees
Walk – outdoors on fairly level trails (until I regain my stamina to hike)
Play – any beach, anywhere, anytime!

  3. I love to run and it’s a difficult thing for me to do with a broken toe, dead arm, and bad knee, but it gives me joy.

I love running on vacation. During an RV trip around the US, I ran every morning at 6:00 a.m.; I ran around β€œpurple mountain majesties” and β€œamber waves of grain” from sea to shining sea (it was a cool way to see our country).

In Europe, when I visit new cities, I always go for a run early in the morning while the other tourists are still sleeping. I make my way along the narrow, cobbled streets and try to find a long hill or a stairway to climb. At the top, I take in the city as the sun rises over a famous tower or an ancient basilica and the smell of pastries baking fills the air. Down below I can hear, the shopkeepers calling out to each other in Italian or French or Spanish while they sweep the sidewalk and prepare for the day. On the way back to the hotel, I always pick up some freshly baked treats for my sleeping family.

    I also love to travel.

It strikes me that I shouldn’t comment on other blogs first thing in the morning; apparently my filter takes a while to kick in.

    Thanks for asking. πŸ™‚

  4. It’s best for spectators if I don’t run, it isn’t pretty. However, strolling by the beach or walking a cliff trail near the ocean (especially the rocky coast of Big Sur) is a favorite! Enjoy those beautiful sandy beaches!

  5. Wherever they’re running! Gorgeous! πŸ™‚

My favorite place I’ve ever run was Barr Trail, at the bottom of Pikes Peak here in Colorado. It’s gorgeous, and there are rocks to jump over, and branches to dodge, and I feel like a little kid on a grand adventure barreling down the mountain like that!

  6. When I was younger I ran everywhere I went. My family used to say I had ants in my pants. LOL. As I got older and certain body parts got larger…let’s just say I keep my running at a minimum. I do still enjoy to run though. I like running or walking on the beach, on a treadmill, in a park, at a track, just about anywhere. I like to rough house with my boyfriend and he’s always chasing me!

      1. He’s five years younger than me, thin and tall (about 8 inches taller than me) so he’s faster than me, but I have way more energy than he does! LOL. So when he’s tired I’m still harrassing him. I love it!

And you’re absolutely right…all treadmills, eliptical machines and stepping machines are torture devices. lol

  7. I had to look up Tulum. They don’t let me out much.

I’m a walker, but beaches or anywhere near any kind of water feature makes me happy. Or mountains. I have a weakness for pretty places, and there are, thank goodness, many pretty places near where I live. Thanks for reminding me of that.

    1. It is very easy to get to Tulum we went over two years ago and stayed at Dreams resort. It was very remote and beautiful! You could walk long stretches of the beach and if you can go far enough you can see the ruins from a distance. We also rented a car it was very easy to travel to the Coba Ruins or zip into akumal Play Del Carmen. It was a very nice area πŸ™‚

  8. Run? Me? No way, Jose. Have you ever seen Hoodwinked? There’s a scene in there where a tree was falling and there were turtles and they’re like ruuuuuuuuuuunnnnnn! And of course they were. Slowly.

    I am like that.

But it sure is a nice feeling to run on the beach. The picture reminds me of the beach in my hometown. It’s very similar.

  9. Beautiful picture!

I like to run….tough question……i used to like running in the field of my boarding school and sing songs while running cuz we weren’t allowed our iPods or any gadgets in the school. So basically running early morning at sunset and singing songs! That’s where i’d like to run, but if i’d do it now, i’d definitely do it with my iPod! πŸ˜€

  10. When I was younger I liked to run around the playground…fun!
    a little older….around town…fun, fun, fun!!
    now older…running to the bathroom….necessity. 😦
    Great wordless Wednesday photo!

  11. If I run I like to run at a place called Community Park in my town, though usually I just like walking there. It’s very pretty and there’s a lake you can go around. My mom and I saw 3 jack rabbits there today and just stood and watched for a little while. The little ones were chasing each other around like they were playing a game or something, like tag. Then they leaped up the hill together. It was cute. πŸ™‚

  12. I wish I could run. It’s so liberating, so free. I don’t do a lot of running because the bouncing doesn’t feel to good. But if I could run I would run near water, I love the sound of it, it’s so therapeutic.
