Feel the Word Slinger Burn!

I am on my own marathon! My own endurance of keeping to the blogging beat of November!  It will be my own little quest to see if I am made of tough stuff!

I have signed up for NaBloPoMo and NaNoWriMo! Can you feel the Mo? The excitement! The Anticipation! The inspiration in the air!

My typing fingers are on a rigorous diet of coffee!

They need to stay wily and lean for all of those creative moments popping in my head which will be rare and few between…

They also have a morning of dedicated exercises!

My little  fingers  are picking up the red pens off  the desk and flexing their tiny muscles. It’s only when they cripple from exhaustion that they then have a rigorous cardio workout striking the keys to Hungry Like the Wolf.

It’s all about the sweat and dedicating  to an all intense marathon of blogging for the month of November and writing 50,000 words!

I will make it across the finish line and proclaim “I have completed NaBloPoMo! I have written 50, 000 words for NaNoWriMo!”gaze blankly  at my computer screen  and wonder, “God Damn it! What do I do now?”

How do you maintain your writing momentum?

  1. Go, go, go! I think today I need to figure out a way to work the content of a marketing research report into my total…..but I am determined to get started. Should be exciting.

      1. You know, you really should start saying “ha ha ha”. It turns one word into three – and that very well could make the difference…

        Good luck!

  2. Yeah!!!!!!!! I can’t wait to read everything you write 🙂 my biggest issue is time… I already blog with borrowed time (like now – while eating soup at my desk) or writing blog posts to save up for months on a plane… I wish I could figure a way to have more me time to actually write… I also need to not let myself get swayed by temptations, like Sunday, when I planned on writting, but instead went shoe shopping with my SIL

    1. I know time is a really big issue! Sometimes I wonder but I’m going to give it a shot!

Shoe-shopping is actually a very important part of a bloggers diet! It is a necessity on Sunday to enjoy some quality time with friends and shop! Some of the best inspiration comes from a perfectly good pair of shoes and a glass of wine 😉

  3. I’m already stuck, at 500 words. ROFL. That’s what I get for not having much organization around an idea that sucks. #NaNoWriMo is already getting on my sweetie’s nerves – 10 hours in to it. 😉

  4. Best wishes, and you can do it! While I’ve not participated, I’ve tossed out 50k plus in a month several times now. You love to tell stories, and once you get rollin’…

  5. Belle, I’ll be here, cheering you from the sidelines, encouraging you to go forward, to reach the finish line! You can do it! Show us what you’re made of, lady! 🙂

  6. I maintain momentum by ensuring I’m thinking about my stories frequently even when I’m not able to sit down and write.

I’m very, very glad you didn’t ask about editing momentum. I’d have to actually start to have some of that!

    1. It’s true there is always constant commotion running my head – it be the reason why I am so absent – minded!

I don’t even to think of editing! I guess I know what I am doing in the month of December 😉
