A Question of Ethics?

As we enjoyed the last night of comfort spending in a hotel before reaching our final wilderness destination. I discovered I forgot to pack shampoo and soap.

Now lets pretend there is an abandoned maid cart full lovely little Aveda products. Do you take one or two? Or do you go to the local mart and buy what you need? What would you do?

  1. I would wait until I saw housekeeping by the cart and ask if I could take a few extras… that is what I usually do in a hotel anyway, as I have really long hair and always need extra shampoo and conditioner. But, then again, if you need enough for 4 people for several days, I would hit the store…

  2. Phone the front desk, they will bring all those fancy shampoos, and usually have a stock of anything else you could possibly need!

Not that I ever forget anything 😉

  3. I go through the front desk if I need more supplies, because it’s possible the housekeepers themselves are accountable for the inventory. Even if their service might be less than optimum, I rather deal straight forward – and that includes shampoo! One time I did leave a brand new robe on the hook in the bathroom. When I got to my destination and missed it, I called the hotel. No one reported it as left, therefore, I must have been mistaken! Oh, well … I have to live with myself foremost.

    1. Oh! That’s upsetting to lose something and no one reports it missing. It is best to be straightforward in the end I just went to the mart and stocked up on my girlie necessities for the wilderness 😉

  4. I’d stay at the hotel for a few more days and legitimately continue to use the Aveda products as a paying customer. Nature can always be admired from behind a clean glass window. Besides, I heard there are no toilets in the woods and the coffee is iffy. You’re better off staying at the hotel.
