One Happy IPod makes for a Great Run

Okay, so after yesterdays morose run,  which fell into a walk, and then a deep depression for the rest of the afternoon. I decided it was time to tweak my little shuffle erase all of the heartbreaking, depressing, regretful songs from its memory. This morning was an odd collection but nonetheless it made for a sweaty pace and a much happier gal.

1) When We were Young – The Killers

2) Goo – Sonic Youth

3)  Help I’m Alive – Metric

4) California Stars – Bill Bragg & Wilco

5)  Sin Wagon – The Dixie Chicks

6) Dyslexic Heart – Paul Westerberg

7) Nookie – Limp Bizkit

An odd collection! Yes! And it was a fantastic run!

PS To the fellow runner on the trailer who passed me when I was giving myself a pep talk…Ummmm! I’m not crazy! Really! I’m harmless! It was just the last leg of the run and I had to motivate myself. If I had known you were right next to me…I  would have never exclaimed ” Damn it! It’s only 8:50! I have ten minutes left!”

  1. I love your taste in music. Generally people (read: my husband) make fun of the eclectic nature of the music on my ipod.

Also, I have run in well, ever… so good on ya. ( I originally typed goo on ya, but that could be taken incorrectly…)
