Each morning I visit the Globe and Mail to get the top news stories and then for fun I check my daily horoscope. It was this morning that it came to my surprise when it said:
“You need to get to grips with certain fears and phobias. You need to find ways to limit the hold they have over your life. To start with you need to accept they exist, and that means accepting yourself as you are.”
I stopped for a moment, took a breath, and wondered am I accepting myself for who I really am? It was a moment of introspection over my cup of coffee when I attempted to check all of the boxes in my head.
I came out with my real blogging name this year. My friends and family know that I blog for better or worse. Gosh Dang It! I even attempt to make videos on bad hair days! And try saying NaBloPoMo out loud! It’s tough stuff!
So Mr or Mrs Horoscope writer I have one thing to tell you! I am coming to grips with my fears and phobias attempting to be who I am each day. Oh! And a sidenote if you could just slip in that tomorrow I will have unexpected riches in my future that would be great! And if you can add moving to a tropical beach that would also be great! Really Great!
Do you read your horoscope? What does it tell you?

Sometimes I read my horoscope. And if I don’t like what it has to say, I read all the other ones until I find the one that suits me right now. I don’t see why I have to accept a horoscope based on my birthdate when there are much better ones that inspire who I am today. Of course, this might not be exactly what the astrologers have in mind with horoscopes, but I’m a free spirit so I do my own thing.
I love that idea! I might have to do the same thing!
I usually read my horoscope on my birthday – some days it seems right and other times it seems way off base. I try to be the one that sets the tone for the day:) Happy Tuesday!
It’s fun when it is positive and uplifting because it get set the pace for a really great day. Other times, I just sigh.
I have as much luck with horoscopes as I have with fortune cookies except the cookies taste better.
I have a mild craving for a fortune cookie! We always read it out loud and finish the sentence with “in bed.” It makes it much more fun
I get my daily horoscope delivered to my e-mail each morning and some days it seems so spot on. Other’s I just roll my eyes!!!
The best ones are when we roll our eyes! They are always hilarious!
Now how could I not agree with what you are asking for hear, Darcie. Hear, hear! I second that motion.
Hahaha! Thank you Virginia!
Today, my Yahoo horoscope is highly contradictory to my blog post for the day. Then again… perhaps it’s not?
“Today, the act of helping others selflessly will help you get rid of a lot of guilty feelings that your recent prosperity has given you. You shouldn’t feel the need to justify what you have, but you should definitely remind yourself how lucky you are. Put your needs behind the needs of others today, and you will feel better about your place in the world. You will help create more balance in the universe, and give yourself something else to be proud of.”
I am going to have to run over to your blog and check out your post
I don’t read my horoscope, but I do consult my crystal ball from time to time. Oh, and Tarot cards. They’re invaluable.
I love how they whisper the future…
I somtimes try and read my horoscope at the end of the day to see how wrong they were. On the other hand I dread reading “If you had read this horoscope this morning I predict you would have won millions on the lottery As it is get back to your boring job.” I would feel a bit stupid.
Hahaha! Me too! I would feel completely jipped!
I don’t read my horoscope but I put a lot of stock in what that little slip of paper inside my fortune cookie says.
I always think I should give the numbers a shot with the lotto! You never know they might be the lucky ones
